The Hunger Games
IS AWESOME!!!! *ok compose self*..breath… It was a mildly entertaining piece of literature. Ok so i can’t contain my excitement for this page turner. I’m not the best of readers, in the sense i have the attention span of a fish and often find myself drifting off to my own imaginary places rather than delving into those of others. But Suzanne Collins (the author) friggin’ nailed it.
Her badass protagonist Katniss was such a refreshing character and totally believable. I’m glad that for once a female character has depth and isn’t too wrapped up in love and in the shadows of the actions of men. She drives the story and it’s one hell of a ride. There are so many perfect moments in it, i really enjoyed the brutal neanderthal visions of death, contrasted to the delicate aftermath.
I’ve just ordered the second book in the trilogy …can’t wait!
A must read in my opinion.
